If I understand the concept, this technologh will allow panels which are not co-planar or panels in which one is partially or wholy shaded to contribute all the power they are generating without interference from the low producing panel. If so this is an absolutely vital building block in the solar-electric construct.

I'm glad to see any ideas that will reduce system voltages on residential roofs.

They don't address the series fusing requirement when paralleling modules though. To be cost effective I would think the series fusing would have to be contained in some kind of wiring harness. On the website I did not see any reference to fusing the array.

It seems this would also be limited to small systems. Over a few kilowatts the large conductor size required for the high current and to maintain a low voltage drop would be prohibitive.
