Heating the Northeast with biomass is a great opertunity for the whole region. In Europe e.g. Austria they use wood pellets as there main source of heat for domestic homes with great benefits for the whole country.
Now I heard that the first Austrian manufacturer entered the market in the Northeast with its well proven boilers form Europe. That could speed up things.
