Robert Preston

BIO: Robert Preston, Senior Portfolio Manager - PIA Program

Mr. Preston is the Partnership’s investment adviser. Mr. Preston has over 30 years of experience in finance, energy research and renewable energy. Prior to Merrill Lynch, he has held senior positions with other large financial firms including Paine Webber, L. F. Rothschild, Union Bank of California , Nomura and AXA Investment Managers, New York. Mr. Preston was a founder of Craigmillar LLC in 2001, and a founder of American Solar Design, Inc., a California company designing, installing, and maintaining solar thermal micro-utilities. He is also a board member with the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (Chair of the By-Laws Committee), Darragh Company, Business Week Energy Series and the Dover Land Trust. Currently he manages publicly traded portfolios focusing on companies benefiting from the global de-carbonization trends. Mr. Preston received a B.A. in Political Science and Economics from Tulane University and an MBA from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.
