Marufa Mithila is the Program Coordinator of SK Johnson LLC, coordinating with a team in New York and Bangladesh providing consultancy and technical services in the domain of renewable energy, energy efficiency, sustainable development, low carbon business model development and international business expansion. Her career in renewable energy sector started with LPEP Renewable Bangladesh as a Researcher and Programme Coordinator in May, 2010 where she was responsible for NDBMP (National Domestic Biogas and Manure Programme) of Infrastructure Development Company Limited (IDCOL), Solar Home Systems (SHS) programme, UNFCCC process for Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) projects cycle and minigrid projects in Sandwip, Bangladesh. Previously, she worked with World Health Organization (WHO) for about two years in EHA (Emergency Humanitarian Action) Programme in Post Sidr Response (Sidr, strongest named cyclone in the Bay of Bengal) where she worked for coordination of project activities in the year 2007-2009, also with major stakeholders eg. UNICEF, JICA, UNDP, IFRC, Govt. of Bangladesh. She is also experienced in conference organization, writing publications on behalf of Bangladesh Renewable Energy Society(BRES), arranging chess competitions, session organization of grandmasters with Leonine Chess Club (Year 2005-2012) and secretarial assistant of voluntary works with Rotary Club of Dhaka East(Year 2005-2007). She specializes in Brick kiln efficiency technology, renewable energy sector, improved cooked stoves (ICS), health programs, education and awareness, and sustainable development sectors.
