What hypocrisy. Lawmakers trying to preclude a renewable energy project while mandating that their constituents cut back or suck up rising costs. This is NIMBY at it's worst.
This article adds to my suspicions that many of these renewable energy projects are scams, or shell games at best, probably designed to pull down grants or investment money. If you're buying in to these things be very careful.
Kudos to Google for being out in front. The high start-up cost of PV systems as well as the existing infrastructure dictate commercial rather than private development, so a project like this is perfectly appropriate. YOU GO, Google!!
