SOLV is a well known environmental name in Oregon, mostly because of their environmental clean-up campaigns. If "Environmental Brand X" were to sponsor these kind of clean-up campaigns with free t shirts saying "clean up the world with "EBX" and carry out an advertising campaign touting their work, that should get them in the papers and on the evening news.

Since I have ASTI stock, I wish them luck. As a earthling facing rising energy costs and an uncetain future, I feel that "green energy" is the hope of tomorrow. Man's ever inventive mind will solve the energy problem

If our leaders would be tuned into what America needs rather than just their disrict, we might have a Congress to respect. An overhaul of how laws are made is overdue. Stop having add-ons to bills that have nothing to do with the main subject. Let them stand or fall on their merits or lack of them. When a member can change the record of their vote by raising their hand, that's lying, pure and simple. How can we judge our leaders when the record is a lie? At the very least, note in the record that the change occured

The stocks may have fallen, but they are bound to go back up. Renewable energy is the only energy there will be when fossil fuels run out. As the cost of "FF" goes up, "RE" will get more and more widespread. All of my stock is in RE. I'm just waiting to get past this "hiccup" in the market and watch my stock double or triple in value.

I don't think electric semi's are going to happen. What will happen is bio-diesel from algae. It won't be made in ponds, but in closed bio-reactors. Once this technology ramps up, we can tell the Arabs where to stick their oil. Technology and determination will save the day.

What I want to know is when bio-diesel will cost less than petro diesel or will they just maximize their profits and go up in lockstep with the expensive stuff? Where is the algae-oil? When can we get a tank of that?

     Maybe Nature has the solutions for our problems right under our noses! Termites and carpenter ants can be our allies instead of our enemies.  We will need all the help we can get.  Wecome to the future, bugs!

If you are invested in renewable energy stock, this just made you money. Now lets hope it can get passed and become law.  You think our government is smart enough to do that?  I'll believe it when it happens!  John Schroeder

If I lived in Calif., I would be going for solar bigtime.  Making money on it will spur a lot of people sitting on the fence to go green-both ways!

I sent copies of the Scientific American article "a Grand Plan for Solar" to my Congressional Senators and Reps. Oregon will see the light.  Why don't the rest of you do that? Lets get the ball rolling!

Al this talk needs to get to our legislators. They are the ones who can make this happen-or not♥

   You should read "The grand plan for solar energy" in Scientific American.  We can use the solar tech now: it's been real world tested and it works. I can't understand why Congress is still subsidizing Big Oil.  Let's spend our tax $ to free us from coal and oil.  Greenchipstocks.com offers a lot of investing advice for those wise enouhget in on the ground floor.  Get those stocks while they are down and ride the wave up.  Imagine getting the IPO on Microsoft, Google, GM, GE, etc. I've only got $12,000 in green stocks, but that will grow.  Come, join me.  Read first, then invest.  John S

The article "A grand plan for solar energy" in Scientific American, Jan '08, is a real eye opener. I know we can't sell the Bush administration on it, but getting this going in '09 should be a national pfriority. Read it and comment, please.
