Jeff Wright has a PhD from Oxford University following earlier degrees from Clemson University and Texas A&M University. Jeff is recognized as a world leader in the development of forest plantations for financially successful processing into products such as pulp, paper and lumber as well as carbon and bio-energy. His previous employment includes Sappi in South Africa, Smurfit Latin America in Colombia, Venezuela and Mexico as well as Rayonier. Jeff has worked in more than 40 countries and is currently Manager, Sales and Product Development for ArborGen Inc. , where his work includes developing forest bio-energy plantations in the southern United States.
Jeff Wright began working with eucalypt plantations in 1978. He has managed eucalypt nursery, clonal, research, wood quality and silvicultural efforts in South Africa, Swaziland, Colombia, Venezuela and Mexico as well as consulting on eucalypt plantations in more than 20 other countries. He is the author or co-author of more than 20 publications in referred journals on eucalyptus most recently as Adjunct Faculty, Department of Biomaterials, North Carolina State University.
