Waste Management To Build 55-MW Waste-to-Energy Plant in Maryland
Guys guys, we have the technology to move the garbage now with efficient vehicles that use low emissions diesel or electrical.
We can't be buried in our own filth and gargage; that's a simple fact. Build the facilities using scrubber sequestering technologies; pay the price, and stay clean in "little pink houses" for you and me,...ahhh ain't that America.
All the Best,..

2009: The Year of the Shake-out; IEA Underestimates Renewables
Termoil/shakeout? What's gonna happen? Worldwide consolidation/ public policy challenges with a new U.S. President. What's gonna happen?
Project finance is the first and foremost biggest challenge for wind/solar/geothermal, etc.
As solar modules fall ~ 30-40 this year due to greater manufacturing facilities and increasing supply of silicon, PV will gain a mainstream foothold; being especially good for installers who do good consistant installs in the range of 1-10kV projects. Garages will start to be build by mandate in California and other states with a 'blueprint' for electric vehicles as they emerge world wide.
Obama is "locked" in to the green sector, schools are starting to push wind and PV "2 year curriculums" and the people are seeing investment opportunities for their' homes and businesses now. If Obama can use his "golden tongue" and power to cause a rip tide of movement more and more into green investment for residential as well as industrial entities, we could have a 20 year movement away from oil and the current energy nonsense that rules the world.
Geothermal indeed will benefit as this article stated due to less work being done for oil drilling as well as using 3-D technology concurrently that was developed for oil work. Find heat, dig a hole, extract steam, make turbines spin,..cause electrons to move.
Let's get it done. Fossil energy will be religated to the Smithsonian by 2040
or in Third World countries only.
All the Best,..

Wind Installations Continue To Break Records Across the Globe
Vertibrates (such as humans) need what to function? No,.. not flagella or cilia. The answer is a skeleton. Our skeleton allows our muscles, tendons, ligaments and neurological components to exist; sheathed, or protected with support attachments.
How can the world keep building it's "attachments" (turbines) without a strong world-wide "skeleton" to support it? As the "super-backbone skeleton" or Power grid is built, all other energy entities will come enmass to present themselves and elleviate the bottlenecks; much like a surgical procedure to eleviate nerve root compression in one's back.
Create a strong backbone (electrical infrastructure), add muscle to protect it, exercise it correctly, and it will transport the "mass" well (electrons), and stay functional for many many years.
Best to all,...

Renewable Energy Stimulus Plan Update
Pull our people out of the war; have the world watch to see what happens once we move out. If traction is lost,....ALL democratic governments MUST MUSTER up a 'set of balls' this time and get the work done.
Then,...we invest our money on our national infrastructure while our Saudi
friends change their' core beliefs at the same time, by building net energy and smart cities, etc.
People in the middle class; average 2.3 kids making less than 50K a year cannot take: vacations, live well, keep up on their homes, or EVER retire as our society now exists with cost structures.
One needs to make 65-75K a year to save any money in the MIDDLE Class today. Jobs simply don't pay these incomes any longer; with few exceptions.
Best,

Exploring the German Renewable Energy Market
"Climate Mitigation Strategies",.....MUST be the strategies that are imparted upon society in Germany (sorry Angela Merkel) and to the U.S. and the world.
We should pay crane engineer/ technicians 100K a year; they earn and deserve it. All people deserve to be paid accordingly, not like some 18th Century peasant. Money will be made and spent by all. America needs to have 20-30 schools that train technicians NOW,..not in 10 years,..NOW. These guys better be making 100K a year; they need to be strong, tough, non-claustrophobic and just be "problem solvers" to do this work.
If we spend to create an efficient overhead infrastructure, starting with "high voltage" power, the infrastructure will not have trouble carrying PV, Geothermal, wind or any othe type of energy harvesting that can be realized.
Obama knows this,..and other countries know this.
I'm a "regular Joe",...not a physisict, engineer or chemist. If someone with a regular IQ (like me) realize this already,...it must be standard "inborn" for someone in high governmental position. After all,...our leaders are the smartest people in society, are they not??
We can't let the banks lead us any longer. The typical "Big Bankers,..eats big heavy cholesterol laden food, and sit around in their' fat cat suits that cost thousands of dollars. Get them out of the market.
In other words,...lets now slow down production because Wall Street The people working in Wall Street, don't give a damb about anything but money,..and never will. People run societies, not suits, limos or Cuban Cigars.
Best,..

The German Perspective, Part 3: Training the Future Wind Power Workforce
Let's be honest Ali,...no one wants to go to a web site that exploits it's visitors; called phishing web site.
Now,..with respect to Wind Technicians; we're going to need `10,000 new technicians to work in wind power before 2020. Why,...look at the infrastructure thats being laid down. Nothing against woman here,...but these guys need to be stronger than 90-95% of the population, can't be claustraphobic, and need to be able to climb like our cousin Monkeys to get up in tiny towers at heights of 200-400 feet up.
These fellows need to know physics, mathematics, electronics and machine work. They should be and deserve to make 75K to start after rudimentary training; not many men can handle this type of work for long.
I would even suggest that it might be good for athletic trainers to specialize in the strength and endurance training for motivated technicians in Germany, the US, Spain, and Canada.
Good ideas,...obviously.
All the Best,
FBerry

Renewable Energy Tops 10% of U.S. Energy Production

"In the U.S., We have the Best Wind Resources in the World. Global Companies want to invest in developing and profiting from our Wind and Solar resources much like We invested in Middle East Oil".
Indeed the landscape will continue to change and the need to have internationally educated individuals will become a major major challenge especially with the American jobs; as most Amercans speak only English- and not well.
With that in mind,...if any decision makers should be reading this and you need internationally traveled, trilingual employees, you should email my wife. Christine speaks reads, speaks and writes in English, French and Spanish.
Please pass this note along should you have the right contacts,...this is the only way to find good jobs today; 6-8 years of college, and a "little luck and timing".
Iberdrola are you listening?
English, Spanish and French; perfect for the venues across North Amercan and parts of Europe. "Have passport and International travel experience,...ready to interview".
Masters degreed, ready to work in "sustainable energy".

The Importance of Industry Leadership
Let me be self serving just this oncehere;
I would love to become involved with sustainable energy. With an electronics, Liberal Arts and business background my area could be implementing preliminary wind farm studies. I'm too old to start climbing 500' towers and changing lubricants on 2.5 MW towers; but I can use my head and background in means other ways in the field.
My wife has a Master's in French and Spanish languages and has international experience in sales and service.
Even so, only people who are well connected find good paying sustainable jobs. Some of you reading this ARE well connected, and know hiring executives seeking such people to interview.
my wife speak in "tongues" for Iberdrola for example and get the logistics done- absolutely. She has a great personality, poise and friends all over America and Europe. Could I help with running crew operations- no doubt.
To anyone who wishes to make a difference in wind power with concurrently influence and decision making authority, send us an email:
In life,..if you don't ask,..you never get.
Send to Frank,...send to Christine at:
