Robust Geothermal Growth Expected Even if Tax Credits Expire, EIA Reports

I always had high hopes for geothermal power, there is such great potential there and the risks are not as great as with nuclear , so what has turned me against it now ? My understanding of how it works , the amount of fresh water used , the fracking techniques necessary , and the earthquake potential which will damage injection wells. These things combine to suggest that utility scale geothermal power is a big waste of time and money. But that's what the non-elected Fed is best at.

U.S. President Stands Firm on Clean Energy Agenda

Thanks for the article , it illustrates how weak the fed gov commitment is to clean energy and how strong the oil and coal and nuclear industry is . Notice the part about "safe, secure and effective nuclear deterrent"? Department of energy budget? The DOE is not even elected, they are appointed. By who ? El Presidente ? Insanity = what? Renewable clean energy does not require wars to perpetuate, so business as usual forever? Unless we elect leaders to allocate more funds to renewable energy than for nuclear bombs. Don't tell me how safe and clean and cheap atomic nuclear power is.

Renewable Industry Leaders Call for Production Tax Credit Extension

I support more funding with direct grants, not tax credits , not loans, for hydro and biomass and hydrogen, solar and wind projects. This funding increase to come from reductions in the nuclear defense budget and also foreign aid .Until we have renewable energy independence as a nation.
How about 0 tax on our energy. Sorry but geothermal is a waste of resources and time, coal will never be clean and stop fracking me for natural gas. Am I the only one who thinks the US Senate is corrupt? Please don't comment on my comment, just comment on the article people. er sheeple.

Germany Invests in Hydrogen Technology for Renewable Storage, Vehicles

This is good news. All the naysayers thinking it cant be done, well here is a group proving it is very doable, today not in 20 years. The Nuclear industry will kill us all before the people wake up. No more wars for oil. No more Fracking. No more mountaintop coal mining. I want Hydrogen power now , from H2O and solar and wind and hydro. Thank you Germany. Thank you Miriam Widman and REW.

U.S. Department of Defense Takes Forceful Lead as Early Adopters of Solar Energy

So solar will not produce as designed while the military supports geoengineering aerosol spraying globally. A better option will be to mothball some of the" 300,000 buildings on its 500 plus installations, with 2.2 billion square feet of space,". Sorry to be so negative , is the USA really bankrupt?

Dark Clouds Threaten German Clean Energy Ambitions

I think the article is about the dark clouds, which persist for weeks on end. REW should post articles on chemtrails, aerosol spraying, geoengineering...etc. There is a conspiracy to reduce renewable generation via weather manipulation, and conventional power companies have the funding to do it. I witness to solar not producing much on cloudy days. Perfectly clear days are ruined by airplanes spraying white expanding line clouds in my skies. Surprisingly these "cloudy" days are very calm and windless as well, so poor wind generation too.
Think on this thing.

Dark Clouds Threaten German Clean Energy Ambitions

Thanks Bill ,I was commenting on the title and second paragraph of this article. Do not notice a mention of storms or rain, only clouds. Evacuated tubes do not seem to do their job on cloudy days. I love solar power of all kinds , including wind and biomass. The nuclear industry will kill almost all of us soon. Our governments have spent more money on nuclear weapons than it would take to solar power the world.Bitter irony ,I would love a warmer planet with blue skies.

Accelerating Geothermal Growth Through DOE Initiatives

Wait just a second. the $1 billion earmarked for lending within Indonesia in January 2010.?President Obama's "Christmas wish list" to Congress included $101 million for 2012, ? What?
This does not compute. Never mind it's all a vast waste of funding for a technology that causes earthquakes and wastes precious fresh water. Much like nuclear , it works good but the environment will never ever be the same. Thanks for the headache.

From Soitec and Sumitomo: New Gallium-Nitride Tech for Solar and LED

Sounds like a good technology. I wonder about it's safety and recyclability.

Vermont Company's Biomass System Outperforms Expectations

Great article ! I love this kind of news. The oil companies need to take note, if they want to be known as "energy services", it's time to diversify. They tried to pull a fast one on us by offering "bio-diesel" which is at most 20% vegy oil. Leave that oil and coal in the ground where it belongs.
Thanks and keep the good news growing.

Geothermal Heating Up in Nevada Despite Frigid Industry Climate

Thanks Meg for this article. I once was a fan of geothermal power. Now, I agree with electric38 on solar, all of our energy needs can be found above ground.
My research shows the following:
Every time they drill a hole / well and fracture the ground to access the geo heat , it causes a seismic tremor or earthquake.
Soon the ground water will become unusable for life support.
Harry Reid of Nevada is a crooked politician and should have been imprisoned a long time ago. He gets kickbacks from these investment groups.
and on and on.
Those few short lived jobs are not worth the catastrophy that will be the end result of this technology. Any one disagree with me?
Stop this now.
