Andrew Savage is on the executive management team at AllEarth Renewables as the company's director of communications and public affairs. In this position, he’s served on Renewable Energy Vermont’s legislative committee (as 2011 chair) where he helped develop and pass Vermont’s first-in-the-nation solar registration program and statewide solar adder. The registration program was named one of the Interstate Renewable Energy Council’s “Top 10 Notable Policy Developments of 2011.” He has also helped the company earn features in Business Week, FastCompany, InterPV, Solar Industry, Home Power, SolarPro, Photon, and Renewable Energy World¸ among others. He has presented at PV America, SunShot, NESEA Building Energy Conference, among others. Previously, Andrew served as deputy chief of staff and legislative director for Vermont Congressman Peter Welch where he managed the Congressman’s legislative team and helped author a U.S. House-passed $6 billion national energy efficiency retrofit program. Andrew is also past communications director for Congressman Welch and, in 2008, he directed communications and served a spokesperson for President Barack Obama’s presidential primary in Utah. Andrew is a previous director of Vermont Senate Victory, where he helped elect the largest Democratic Senate majority in Vermont history, and served as Aide to the President Pro Tem in the Vermont Senate. Andrew received his bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in environmental studies from Middlebury College, where he graduated Phi Betta Kappa and summa cum laude. He is a former member of the Burlington Conservation Board.
