I'm an industrial designer, highly interested in energy-efficient design and solar energy applications. Our house is powered by 4.5kW grid-tied solar system; I have designed, built, and installed several additional energy-saving systems, including LED-based outdoor lighting and solar trackers. I advise friends and family on energy-saving designs, systems, techniques, and approaches for their specific needs.
