BIO: Steve Nelson, CEO

Steve is President & CEO of Solar Electric Service Corporation, a startup company whose mission is to transform how solar power is marketed, sold and delivered to homeowners. Prior to launching SESC, he spent many years as an entrepreneur, executive, marketer and analyst in the marketplace for personal technologies such as broadband, cable TV, consumer electronics and personal computers. In 1977-82 he was Manager of Government & Public Affairs for the Northeast Solar Energy Center, one of four regional organizations funded by the U.S. Department of Energy to foster the growth of an alternate energy industry and the adoption of renewable energy technologies by consumers, businesses and nonprofit organizations. At NESEC he conducted "Operation Sunpower,"a campaign to promote solar water heaters which the Public Relations Society of America awarded its Silver Anvil, the Oscar of PR.
