Born in Lubeck Germany, as a child of displaced persons from Estonia 1946 emigrated to the United States in 1951 where I went through the school system and served as a 1st Lieutenant in the Special Forces. In 1969 I got out of the service and attended the San Francisco Art Institute. Later I graduated Monmouth University in Long Branch New Jersey, and the Art Students League in Manhattan. I co authored a fantasy novel published in hardcover and paperback, Down Town and worked as a free lance illustrator. I moved to Estonia in February 1995 to work as an Advisor to the General Staff. I owned and operated two restaurants in Tallinn, Estonia's capitol city. and started a company with four partners, Energy Smart to build a proof of concept 100kW solar park, the first in the Baltics, to prove Estonian farmers can produce clean solar energy into the EU grid instead of waiting for EU agricultural subsidy handouts. Estonia is a flat, virtually empty country the size of New Jersey and Maryland together with a population of a little over a million. Empty and flat with more solar resources than Poland or East Germany as confirmed by NASA.
