John is the Executive Vice President of ePower Engine Systems, a company that's developing engine-dominant series-electric hybrid drivetrains for long-haul heavy trucking. ePower's current product improves fuel economy by 40% to 60% in Class 8A tractor trailer combinations with gross vehicle weights of up to 55,000 pounds. Future development work will target the more rigorous demands of Class 8B tractor trailer combinations with gross vehicle weights of up to 80,000 pounds. Previously John worked as a partner in the firm of Fefer Petersen & Co (www.ipo-law.com) and represented North American, European and Asian clients, principally in the energy and alternative energy sectors. John is a 1979 graduate of the Notre Dame Law School and a 1976 graduate of Arizona State University. He was admitted to the Texas Bar Association in 1980 and licensed to practice as a CPA in 1981.
