BIO: Bob "The Clean Energy Guy" Mitchell, Consultant

After spending the last 27 years in the real estate and mortgage banking industries I went back to school in order to "reinvent" myself in the renewable power industries. In December 2010, I graduated from the renewable energy technology program at Columbia Gorge Community College in The Dalles Oregon. While in school, I volunteered at the Columbia Gorge Renewable Energy Zone (CGBREZ) program, part of the Mid-Columbia Economic Development District. After graduation, I relocated to Southern California in order to pursue a career in renewable energy. In April of 2010 I joined forces with Eco One Energy in Escondido, California in order to build their Commercial Power Generation Systems. This position didn't work out, so I am working as an independent renewable energy consultant while I look for another project development or sales/marketing job. To this end, I relocated to Raleigh, North Carolina in December of 2011. I am currently in the process of creating "Clean Energy Guy, Inc." my renewable energy consultancy, here in Raleigh and am looking to help developers and other renewable energy related professionals achieve their goals. I have a wonderful wife and two grown kids. Helping to usher in the change to renewables from fossil based fuels in my passion. If more people realized the importance of making the switch, maybe we could head off the worst of the consequences of our past reliance on carbon based fuels!
