Texas Renewable Energy Industries Association recognizes Texas Energy Independence Week with forums, briefings and other public activities to focus attention on the role of renewable energy in helping Texas become more energy self-reliant. TREIA declares the week of March 4th 2013 as Texas Energy Independence Week.
Texas Renewable Energy Industries Association, TREIA has organized the Renewable Energy Finance Forum to kick off Texas Energy Independence Week (TEIW) March 4, 2013, 9 am – 11:45 pm at the Omni Austin Hotel, Downtown, 700 San Jacinto, Austin, TX 78701. The Finance Forum will examine financing of renewable energy developers and suppliers, their projects and operations.

TREIA provides forums and briefings at or near the Texas Capitol to inform elected state officials, agencies, staffs, and the public on the current state of the industry and the value of encouraging its growth. “In these challenging economic times innovative means for connecting funding with cleaner energy projects are being developed. The Finance Forum will address issues affecting our industry’s ability to thrive,” said Russel Smith, TREIA Executive Director. The Forum features:

“We have assembled a group of speakers who live in Texas, are active in the Texas market and are very interested in seeing the Texas renewable market grow,” said Steve Krebs. “At the same time, they and their companies develop and finance projects nationally.
