The Renewable Energy Roundup & Green Living Fair is recognized as the largest sustainability fair in the South. Texans seeking greener lifestyles and those concerned about drought and the environment have come to the Roundup yearly to hear national leaders and local experts; to participate in workshops; and to enjoy creative events.
The Renewable Energy Roundup takes place annually the last weekend in September this year the 29 - 30 at Fredericksburg’s Market Square, 231 West Main. Tickets are $15 per day or $25 for a 2-day pass.
The Roundup showcases eco-friendly products, green energy services and renewable energy resources from a growing number of Texas-wide companies. Texans will find a format that is interactive, entertaining and informative.
"Record setting drought impacts, food quality and cost concerns, electric generation adequacy problems, and ongoing worrisome environmental issues, are almost impossible to ignore. More folks are realizing every day that taking control of at least some of their own water, food, energy, and health needs makes more sense every day,” said Russel Smith, Executive Director of Texas Renewable Energy Industries Association and co-organizer. “The fair provides an opportunity for anyone to gain invaluable information and acquire the products, technologies and techniques to accomplish that.”
The Renewable Energy Roundup is co-organized by Texas Renewable Energy Industries Association (TREIA) and Texas Center for Policy Studies (TCPS). Event proceeds benefit TREIA and TCPS, two non-profits striving to increase understanding and awareness of renewable energy applications and to promote their wide use.
