Texas Combined Heat and Power Initiative has recognized Ed Mardiat, DBIA, Principal for OnSite Energy & Power at Burns & McDonnell as CHP Industry Champion for 2012.
The Texas Combined Heat and Power Initiative (TXCHPI), an association of business interests that supports CHP technology applications in industrial, commercial and institutional settings recently hosted CHP2012 in Houston. The conference and trade show event was attended by industry professionals from across the nation and has become one of the nation’s largest CHP industry events. Awards were presented at the event to recognize exemplary projects and industry professionals.
At CHP2012 the industry recognized Ed Mardiat, DBIA, Principal for OnSite Energy & Power at Burns & McDonnell as its CHP Industry Champion. The CHP Industry Champion award is given to an industry member that helps advance the use of CHP systems and exemplifies leadership within the industry.
Mardiat was recognized as a tireless proponent of CHP who has championed CHP at every turn. He has been dedicated to the CHP market for many years, speaking to countless individuals and organizations on the benefits and value of CHP. In addition to promoting CHP he has assisted organizations such as the Department of Energy, Oak Ridge National Labs and the International District Energy Association at promoting the benefits of CHP.
Mardiat is a proponent of the design-build project delivery method, and has been integral to the growth of the Design Build Institute of America. He, himself, is a Designated Design Build Professional.
