Seattle, WA The Department of Energy ("DOE") recently issued a Funding Opportunity Announcement ("FOA") that makes available an estimated $32 million for modernizing the existing hydropower infrastructure in the United States and increasing the quantity and value of hydropower generation. The focus of this program is on facilitating the deployment of turbines and control technologies that will both increase system generation at existing non-federal hydroelectric facilities and improve the facilities' environmental performance.
