This is a great opportunity for solar PV installers and industry representatives to brush up on design formulas and current code regulations. During the 1 hour live webinar, SolPower People's Director of Education AKA Ms. MOOC, Sarah Raymer, will present a clear and direct approach to design formulas that are necessary brain-ammo for NABCEP Photovoltaic Installer Exam test-takers.
Those preparing to take the NABCEP PV Installer Exam™ on the 22nd of this month, in just over 2 weeks, are probaby approaching over-load. This exam is a rather foreboding task that once completed, should be celebrated with upmost abandon and exuberant festivities. After many hours of training, countless hours of studying, and depending on your background- a number of system installations, you may qualify to pay to take this exam [currently $300]. If you've got what it takes to pass, you can claim a stamp of approval from NABCEP™, the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners. As the solar industry grows, it becomes even more important to establish your credentials. The NABCEP PVI certification is a highly respected title that can make a difference between getting a job or not getting a job.
If you are preparing to take the NABCEP PVI Exam™, this webinar may be useful to you. The NABCEP Exam will most likely have numerous questions that will require the exam taker to know certain calculations very well, and in turn to know how to apply them in practice. Knowing these formulas will make a few of the questions a little bit easier to tackle.
If you are looking to brush up on current 2011 NEC Codebook™ requirements and calculations for conductor and OCPD sizing, this would be a good chance to do so. If you are practicing in the field, you probably have a program or set-up Excel sheet that can make sure you are doing it all correctly- but it never hurts to keep the actual figuring fresh in your mind in case your computer crashes.
