It is with great sadness that we note the passing of John Maloney, SolarCraft's Vice President of Sales and Marketing, his wife Susan, and young children Gracie and Aiden, who were tragically killed in a traffic accident over the weekend.
The sorrow and sense of loss we at SolarCraft feel is indescribable.
"I knew him for about 20 years and he was my best friend, a wonderful father and a very generous man," said attorney and neighbor Bob Smith, who also works for SolarCraft. "You are lucky if you ever have a friend like John.”
John joined SolarCraft last winter as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He worked at both the Bel Marin Keys headquarters as well as the Sonoma office. John brought a spirit of camaraderie and team work that led SolarCraft to achieve record sales within his first few months. His dedication, optimism and positive energy will be greatly missed by all his colleagues at SolarCraft.
“Part of his legacy is that he helped us put a great team and system in place here”,said President Bill Stewart, “He will continue to inspire us as we move forward, and we will never forget him.”
Smith, current Director of Business Development at SolarCraft, who has been a close friend and worked with John for many years, will take over John’s duties for the immediate future as interim Director of Sales and Marketing. We are dedicated to continuing the vision and success that John brought to SolarCraft.
