SEI Solar Professionals Certificate Options:
Transfer of Previous Training
In 20 plus years of technical training, SEI has educated over 20,000 people in renewable energy. Through SEI's Solar Professionals Certificate Program students can apply previous SEI training to any one or multiple certificate paths. If you have taken a PV101 level equivalent course with another training provider you may be able to transfer that educational experience towards a certificate path as well. Check with your SEI Student Advisor for details.
2012 Solar Professionals Certificate Program Cohort
Since the launch of this selective admissions training program in 2012, SEI has received over 100 applicants from all over the world and has accepted over 30 participants into the program. The application and selective admissions process is to help ensure the success of the students accepted into the program as well as identifying candidates that will help the industry progress towards a professional and technically competent future with a focus on quality work and safety.
Beyond Test Prep
SEI's rigorous training program goes beyond the test prep approach many other solar training providers are now offering in the industry. In this highly technical and safety conscientious line of work, SEI believes receiving the bare minimum of training isn't a formula for success for the individual or the industry as a whole. Furthermore, this minimalist approach to technical training has potentially flooded the industry with under prepared practitioners.
Most of the certificate paths require at least one hands-one lab week in addition to the classroom portion of your training that can be taken online or in-person. SEI is currently in the lab training season and spots are filling up fast. If you plan on graduating from SEI in 2012, now is the time to talk with a SEI Student Advisor about your training path for the remainder of the year.
If you feel that you are ready to take that next step in your training or career goals, apply to the Solar Professionals Certificate program today. For questions and more information about SEI's Solar Professionals Certificate Program contact one of SEI's Student Advisors:
