Solar Energy International welcomes spring on the west coast with PV101, a hands-on workshop that provides an overview of the three basic PV system applications, primarily focusing on grid-direct systems, at KACO new energy's Grass Valley facility.
From From April 23-27, SEI's PV101: Solar Electric Design and Installation (Grid-Direct) teaches the core concepts necessary to work with all PV systems, including: system components, site analysis, PV module criteria, mounting solutions, safety, and commissioning.
The course will also cover the basics of sizing a residential grid-direct system, wire sizing, overcurrent protection, and grounding – all of which will be expanded upon in SEI's PV202: Advanced PV System Design and the NEC (Grid-Direct) course, being offered in-person May 7-11 in Boston and online May 21-July 1.
