NABCEP Clarification about PV Technical Sales Certification

NABCEP recently released clarification for the requirements to sit for the PV Technical Sales Certification Exam. Read full press release... In this update, NABCEP empathized the need for evidence, training, and a full understanding of the financial, economic, and non-financial benefits of the solar industry. In this emphasis you will notice the focus on non-technical topics that many solar installers and professionals may not have received during their formal technical training:

• The revenue that the electricity generated will produce
• Total cost of the system
• Incentive or tax benefits that may be applied to the total cost
• Internal rate of return (IRR),
• Payback period and cash flow over the life of the system,
• Non-financial benefits and any income that will be gained from renewable energy credits
