CARBONDALE, Colorado, USA From March 14-18, Solar Energy International hosts a comprehensive, in-person solar training workshop in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
PV101 will cover the basics of sizing a residential grid-direct system, wire sizing, overcurrent protection, and grounding - all of which will be expanded upon in Solar Energy International's PV202: Solar Training - Grid Direct Design and the NEC in-person workshop in Fayetteville Sept. 12-16.
Fayetteville, home to the University of Arkansas, is rapidly establishing its national reputation as a sustainable community and hub for green collar jobs training. For five days in March, Fayetteville will be a capital of solar training, with SEI's highly popular PV101 workshop. PV101: Solar Electric Design and Installation (Grid-Direct) is designed as an overview of the three basic PV system applications, primarily focusing on grid-direct systems. The goal of the workshop is to create a fundamental understanding of the core concepts necessary to work with all PV systems, including: system components, site analysis, PV module criteria, mounting solutions, safety, and commissioning. This workshop will also cover the basics of sizing a residential grid-direct system, wire sizing, overcurrent protection, and grounding - all of which will be expanded upon in Solar Energy International's PV202: Solar Training - Grid Direct Design and the NEC in-person workshop in Fayetteville Sept. 12-16. SEI is pleased to host the Fayetteville workshop in collaboration with local partners, the National Center for Appropriate Technology (ncat.org), the Northwest Arkansas Community College, and the Ozarks Electric Cooperative.
