Carbondale, CO Solar Energy International is offering an online course for people interested in bringing renewable energy technologies to the developing world.
This course teaches the most important lessons that need to be learned about implementing renewable energy projects in the developing world. Truly, how we go about connecting the billions of people without energy to energy sources will determine the fate of us all.

This six-week online training will explore different applications for renewable energy technologies in developing countries. By the end of the course students will be able to work with a developing world community to design an action plan to implement a project that satisfies their energy needs. Designed to complement each other, the Renewable Energy for the Developing World online course can be followed by one of the international hands-on workshops to put theory into practice. In addition to online curriculum, participants will receive the book Community Action to Address Climate Change: Case Studies Linking Sustainable Energy Use with Improved Livelihoods by the Global Environment Facility, and numerous Internet resource links. A course glossary, extensive resource guide and case studies of successful sustainable projects are included online.
