This week, members of the Sol Systems team will be attending the PV America West Conference in San Jose, California. PV America West is one of the largest regional conferences, attracting over 4,000 industry professionals. This conference presents a great opportunity to network with professionals working in the industry, view the newest improvements in solar technology, and a chance to meet with legislators and policymakers who are interested in seeing the continued growth of the solar industry.

On Tuesday morning, Sol Systems CEO Yuri Horwitz participated in a panel called “SRECs Everywhere – How to Navigate Solar RPS Policy and Compliance Markets.” The panel discussed the impact of a functional SREC market, and its influence on the health and growth of the solar industry within a state. Panel members also discussed recent SREC market trends around the nation, as well as how future SREC markets can be improved through legislation.

Members of the Sol Systems management team will also be at the PV America West Conference throughout the week – discussing SRECs; our new solar finance platform, SolMarket; and our group solar panel purchase program, SolPurchase.

Sol Systems CFO George Ashton is also traveling this week, visiting the BNEF Summit in New York City. Taking place from March 19 – 21, this year’s theme is “Innovate, Generate, Integrate” as industry professionals examine the latest challenges, opportunities, and trends facing the industry. On Wednesday morning Mr. Ashton will participate in the “SREC Strategy Breakfast – Living on the edge: Surviving SREC Price Volatility.” Panel members are slated to discuss strategies for operating in the SREC markets of the Northeast and how companies manage the risk associated with SREC brokerage and aggregation.
