Consider SkyFuel a fuel supplier; however, we collect our fuel from the sky. We design and deliver utility-scale, turnkey solar fields for existing power plants and greenfield, stand-alone solar electric generating stations. We provide the complete solar field, including mirrors and receivers, ready to supply steam to a power block.

The SkyTrough™ is SkyFuel's high-efficiency parabolic-shaped concentrating collector. It is the lowest cost, highest efficiency parabolic trough concentrator on the market today. Parabolic trough technology is commercially proven and cost effective in many applications. SkyFuel is simplifying and standardizing solar field design and construction and providing one-stop, turnkey solutions.
Technology Focus
As a solar thermal energy supplier, SkyFuel designs, delivers and operates the solar field up to the heat exchanger that generates steam for the power block. Our two thermal Concentrating Solar Power (CSP) technologies, SkyTrough™ (parabolic trough) and Linear Power Tower™ (linear Fresnel) employ arrays of reflectors that focus 50-100 times the Sun's normal radiation onto heat-absorbing pipes. This creates clean, renewable solar-generated steam that can be used for electric power generation or industrial processes.

The research and development center of SkyFuel designs the enabling technologies, including the SkyTrough™, Linear Power Tower™, specialty components, and molten salt storage systems. Both concentrator technologies possess different characteristics which allow SkyFuel to design and deliver solar-energy solutions that meet different requirements for output, dependability, available space, safety and cost.
