lynx metmAsts, a leading provider of wind measurement systems and turnkey met tower services to the Irish wind energy market, has signed an agreement to offer Second Wind's line of tower-based wind measurement instruments to its customers, the two companies announced today.

The partnership will offer wind developers and wind farm operators a greater choice in met mast and wind measurement technology. "Whether your project is large or small, wind measurement is a critical element in designing and operating a wind generation facility," says Michael Martyn, Business Development Manager, lynx metmAsts. "By adding Second Wind's Nomad 2 Wind Data Logger, anemometers, and other environmental sensors to the range of met towers we offer, we can provide our customers with more flexibility to design quality measurement campaigns."

Based near Dublin, Ireland and Birmingham, UK, lynx metmAsts have been in operation since 1998. The company sells and rents its own branded LX series of tube & lattice towers ranging from 10 to 100 + meters in height, and offers complete turnkey services including installation, maintenance, and repair. Lynx's technicians have received training and certification in installing and programming Second Wind's Nomad 2 Wind Data Logger. The Nomad 2 records and stores wind measurements from mast-mounted sensors. In addition, the Nomad can transmit wind data to Second Wind's SkyServe® web-based dashboard, allowing wind data to be accessed in real time, compared, and securely archived.
