The HC Power Series Ultracapacitor product family (from Maxwell Technologies) is helping circuit designers meet growing demands for pulse power capability and short term back-up power in consumer electronics, rechargeable power tools, and wireless communication systems. Maxwell's industry-leading technology is now available in the form factors that are most suitable for a broad range of electronic applications. The newest members of the HC series include 5, 10, and 100 Farad cells. These join the previous HC cells: 25, 50, and 150 Farad. All are rated at 2.7 volts. These ultracapacitor products have a two-pin radial design, are resistant to reverse polarity, are scalable to higher voltages (via multi-cell configurations), and, like all Maxwell Technologies BOOSTCAP® Ultracapacitors, are capable of being recharged at the identical rate of discharge.
