New employees include electrical and mechanical engineers, as well as accounting personnel with RevoluSun. In leasing additional space, the firm acknowledges that it has outgrown its sustainably designed and constructed 5,305-square-foot corporate offices in the building's penthouse and needs the additional space to consolidate its residential construction operations.

RevoluSun is moving its construction operations and accounting department into the new space on the eighth floor of the Pan Am building. Currently 72 people work for RevoluSun on Oahu, 3 on Maui and 3 on the Big Island.  To date, RevoluSun has installed 6 MW of residential renewable energy projects across the state, and in 2010 alone designed and installed 430 solar systems.

“With our robust growth, we anticipate adding as many as 15 more jobs by year’s end,” Carlson said.
RevoluSun’s partnership with installation partner, American Piping & Boiler Co. (APB), has also led to that kama’aina company’s growth.
