RENAC's new online courses offer a real career springboard
15/08/2011 - Berlin, Germany RENAC is expanding its training program for renewable energies through a new, online part-time programme. The autumn sees the start of the three-month short courses "Project Management" and "Investment Appraisal". This English-language programme is being organized together with the Beuth University of Applied Sciences, Berlin and combines management or funding expertise with specialist skills for booming renewable energy markets. The project management course will provide participants with the tools they need to successfully plan, manage and control complex renewable energy projects. The financing course will cover particular project funding issues for renewables as well as key aspects in the financial evaluation of projects and proper risk assessment. Since they are undertaken online, the courses can be completed side-by-side with participants' normal work. On successful completion of the courses participants will receive a certificate from RENAC and the Beuth University of Applied Sciences, Berlin. Those who want to invest more time can also now enrol for the first MBA worldwide to have a specific focus on renewable energy. This is also being launched in the autumn and is another collaborative programme between RENAC and the Beuth University of Applied Sciences, Berlin. In addition to learning about the different renewable energy technologies, students will acquire skills in business development, applying business strategy and management techniques. Extra-occupational training is increasingly in demand in the field of renewable energy. Those new in the field have the opportunity to expand their own knowledge by participating in an online-course, alongside their employment, to acquire an additional qualification. Often leading to increased job prospects. According to a Forsa survey having an extra-occupational training qualification is a key criterion for hiring managers. The Renewables Academy AG (RENAC), based in Berlin, specializes in education and training for renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies. Since its founding in 2008, more than 1,200 engineers, technicians, project developers, financiers, political and economic decision makers, and students have participated in one of a multitude of its technical and non-technical courses covering solar, wind, bio-energy and hybrid technologies or distribution networks.
