Largest Rooftop Solar Installation in Pacific Northwest to use PV Powered Inverters

“We’re actively looking for ways to increase our solar energy resources in the Portland area, and the fact that we can build systems with a home-grown Oregon inverter technology is an extra benefit,” said Mark Osborn, distributed resources manager at PGE. “But it is also critical that the system components perform and that they are designed to reduce maintenance costs, since we need to support our customers economically over the long haul.  PV Powered’s commercial solar inverters, including the PVP 100kW and PVP 260kW being installed in the ProLogis project, are designed with fewer components than other commercial inverters, and use the best quality components available. Both factors contribute to decreased downtime for maintenance and longer operating life.
