Washington, D.C. -"A Wiki is a type of website that allows users to add and edit content that is suited for collaborative authoring," and the Ocean Renewable Energy Coalition (OREC) has found a way to put this new technology to work. In their attempts to bring together the views of an entire industry on dry, but critically important, new regulations from the Department of Interior's Minerals Management Service, OREC has set-up a website that allows its members to contribute their thoughts all in one place.

"It's a cumbersome process so we looked to save lots of time, while being inclusive and comprehensive in compiling the various views on these new regulations. Using a Wiki was clearly the most efficient way to capture the many opinions our members have."

Carolyn Elefant, CEO
OREC
