The North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) is pleased to announce its second annual Continuing Education (CE) Conference. This conference will commence Friday, March 8 and will run through March 10, 2013 California State University Sacramento. The campus is home to the California Smart Grid Center.
The conference will offer NABCEP Certified Installers and Technical Sales Professionals an opportunity to fulfill all CE requirements for re-certification at a single event. Conference registrants will be offered workshops on the National Electric Code (NEC), finance, safety and emerging fire codes as well as manufacturer product training.
NABCEP welcomes SMA America as the lead sponsor of this year’s conference. Jurgen Krehnke, president and general manager of SMA America and president of SMA Canada said, “With our ongoing commitment to training and education, partnering with NABCEP is a natural fit. Together, we have a shared mission to promote industry growth through programs that support quality assurance in the sales and installation process. This conference is an important step in realizing that mission.”
Building upon the highly successful Continuing Education Conference held last year, NABCEP will provide a similar event format. Registration to the event will be limited to NABCEP Certified Installers and Technical Sales Professionals or to individuals who are employed by NABCEP certificants and have successfully achieved a passing score on the NABCEP PV Entry Level exam. Limited registration ensures a high quality experience for presenters and attendees. Ryan Mayfield, Renewable Energy Associates, LLC, who provided NEC training to standing-room-only audience at the last conference, told NABCEP, “As a trainer, I have to say that was hands down the best audience I’ve had the opportunity to present to. I think it is a reflection of the NABCEP certifications.”
