Kyocera Solar, Inc. Deploys Largest OutBack Power Panel in North America

The batteries will power the home's entire electrical load through the inverters during monthly maintenance and potential propane shortages.

"This power panel is a kind of insurance policy for the homeowner," stated Mike Savino, Kyocera Solar, Inc.'s Desert States Sales Manager. "In a remote location like this, with no utility to fall back on, this system provides a guaranteed source of electricity." The 4,050 amp hour battery bank is capable of storing approximately a three-day supply of power.

Northern Arizona Wind and Sun, which sold and installed the system, plans to complete the project by October 30, 2004.
