Johnson Controls Completes 12kW Solar Power Project at U.S. Penitentiary

Milwaukee, WI Johnson Controls, Inc. (NYSE: JCI), the global leader in energy efficiency and sustainability, recently completed a solar photovoltaic (PV) power system at the U.S. Penitentiary and Federal Prison Camp (USP/FPC) in Tucson, Ariz. The system is part of an 18-stall parking structure that also provides shading for vehicles on site.

"We are proud to be working with federal government agencies to help meet their goal to use renewable solutions for at least five percent of their energy needs," said Don Albinger, vice president of renewable energy solutions at Johnson Controls.
