The editors of Hydro Review and HRW-Hydro Review Worldwide magazines are pleased to announce several new tools now available online at HydroWorld.com.

"Since launching the new HydroWorld.com in July, we've listened to reader feedback and introduced a number of improvements that make the site an even more valuable resource for the hydropower community," says Marla Barnes, publisher, Hydro Review.

HydroWorld.com users might have noticed a new section called "Business Transactions & Transitions," located in the left column of the home page of the website. This new section allows for easier access to hydro market-related stories that might not have necessarily fit in one of the site's previous topic centers.

"It's just one more way for readers to find the content they want," Barnes says.

HydroWorld.com also has released a new "virtual tour" of its Premium Content section, which shows users how to make the most of the site's subscription-only portion.

The video demonstrates a number of features available exclusively to Premium Content subscribers, including the latest tender opportunities, Federal Energy Regulatory Commisison (FERC) news, and access to HydroWorld.com’s exclusive FERC Notices database.

"We know professionals in our field stay busy," Barnes says. "That's why we've designed the Premium Content section as a one-stop spot for generating leads, saving time and getting results."

HydroWorld.com is also expanding its presence on social media platforms, with pages on Facebook and Twitter that provide both news throughout the day and another opportunity to interact with the editors.

Hydro Review also has mobile applications, available now for both Apple iOS and Android platforms. Both are free and are updated throughout the day with all of HydroWorld.com's latest content and newscasts.

"The mobile apps make it easy to view all the digital content from HydroWorld.com, even when you're not in front of a computer," Barnes says.

Since HydroWorld.com's re-design in mid-July 2012, the site's page views have increased steadily every month. HydroWorld.com received close to 134,000 page views in October 2012, up almost 20,000 from the 115,000 views received in August. In the 12-month period dating October 2011 through October 2012, HydroWorld.com has received nearly 1.6 million page views.
