New RADOX solar connector range

Multiple connectors represent a new addition to the HUBER+SUHNER range. These have been especially developed to ensure efficient assembly of solar power systems. Using pre-fabricated cable strands, the modules can be inserted quickly and simply during installation. The modular design also makes it possible for connectors to be assembled directly on site.

Twist Lock Connectors for easy installing

K- and T-connectors provide connectivity for two crimp connections, a male and a female TWIST LOCK HUBER+SUHNER connector. K–connectors are especially designed for pre-assembled installation of the PV wiring. The pre-assembled main wire comes ready to connect, fast and easy, feeders or modules – simply plug and play.

The new range also includes a diode transition connector developed especially for the requirements of thin-film technology. The integrated 1 A blocking diode protects the module from damage caused by the parallel circuits often used for non-network-bound photovoltaic systems. The diode transition connector is compatible with the HUBER+SUHNER connector family and easily integrated into cable systems (by plug-ins).

EdgeCon set

The EdgeCon (edge connector) is especially designed to suit the needs for glass/glass modules or glass/foil modules, where it provides the ribbons to connect the module. A pair of connectors, each containing two diodes, is one set. It offers the optimized function of a junction box. Especially the slim shape enables it to connect the module from the side. Connected like this, the module does not only perform at its best, it also looks exceptional.    

Innovative with proven properties

All RADOX solar connectors are compatible with each other and therefore offer a high degree of flexibility. The connectors can be assembled simply and quickly on site using just a few parts, or alternatively ordered in the form of a pre-fabricated assembly set (and therefore represent innovative solutions).

The entire new range of connectors also offers the well known and proven properties of HUBER+SUHNER solar products, such as robust design and small external diameters. High quality and low transition resistance (power dissipation) thanks to tried-and-tested parts guarantee reliable connectivity over the entire lifetime of installations – even in the case of harsh environmental conditions.

TÜV and UL certified

HUBER+SUHNER solar products are TÜV-certified in accordance with the new requirements valid from spring 2009. However, HUBER+SUHNER’s conventional RADOX solar cables have already met these new requirements before. Various HUBER+SUHNER solar products are also certified in accordance with the UL standard.
