Friday, 15/02/2013, (LONDON) – Following the U.S. Department of the Interior's recent announcement of the first competitive offshore wind energy lease sales under the "Smart from the Start" initiative, we are delighted to announce that DOI Secretary Ken Salazar will be giving the opening address at Offshore Wind Power USA, February 26-27 in Boston.

After President Obama’s forthright comments around climate change in his State of the Union address earlier this week directing Congress to “act soon to protect future generations”, it is clear that both climate change abatement and energy security remain high on the agenda of this Administration.
