The 7th annual World Biofuels Markets Congress will take place March 13-15 in Rotterdam, Netherlands and is expected to draw more than 1,500 attendees from 80 countries and will include 260 expert speakers.
With many major airlines and the US military conducting successful biofuels test flights and biofuel blends being used on commercial flight routes, executives from airplane manufacturers, fuel providers, and airlines will provide conference attendees with never-before heard industry analysis and opinion. In the Finance and Investment conference, expert analysts and bankers will evaluate the impacts on the funding of commercial projects by factors such as recent successful IPOs, biofuels feedstock volatility, and economic forecasts for oil prices.
“With more than 1,500 delegates coming together, it’s critical to present the industry’s most timely issues. In response, we’re bringing together the entire aviation value chain to discuss important issues such as fuel certification, scaling up existing biojet fuel usage, the role of the military, and fuel incentives,” said Claire Poole, Event Director for World Biofuels Markets. “All of today’s amazing advancements in biofuels technology require significant financing to reach scale, so we look forward to hearing from the top economic minds on the future of investment across the industry.”
World Biofuels Markets is also making a final call for nominations for the 4th annual Sustainable Biofuels Awards, to be presented at the conference on March 14 in Rotterdam. The industry’s most prestigious awards are designed to recognise the tremendous innovation that is taking place in the development of truly sustainable and renewable fuels. This year’s nominations consist of ten different categories covering transportation fuels, aviation, biopower generation and biobased chemicals. More information and nominations are available at: www.sustainablebiofuelsawards.com.
In addition to these highlighted sessions, keynote speakers and executives from companies ranging from early-stage biofuels start-ups, to world-leading financial institutions, and global energy companies will address the conference covering key topics such as Energy Crops, Biofuels from Waste, Advanced Biofuels, and Biogas in Transportation.
