The PV industry is set to take great strides in the Middle East and North Africa, with Saudi Arabia just one of a wealth of opportunities. To discuss the market in detail, PV Insider is hosting a webinar to on 5 March 2013.

Recent announcements such as the K.A. CARE White Paper have demonstrated the potential for PV.  However, analysts agree that there are now two key challenges facing the PV industry in MENA this year - educating the local officials and gathering project experience.

While the technology continues to enjoy growth in international markets, commentators have concluded that local governments and agencies need to be educated on the benefits of PV technology and its applications. In addition, there are a number of off-grid opportunities available in both the Middle East and North Africa, but as the market lacks homogeneity companies have struggled to identify the opportunities.
