Securing land to develop CSP plants in the US – Private, State or Federal?

One of the first and critical challenges for solar developers is locating and securing the most suitable site that meets all the technical, logistic & budgetary requirements. There are only 3 options available private, state or federal with each one having separate challenges.

The US Bureau of Land Management is in the early stages of rolling out a Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement (PEIS) on a total of 24 solar energy study areas, amounting to about 700,000 acres of land.
