The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) now requires all contractors who perform renovation, repair, and painting projects that may disturb lead paint to be certified in Lead Renovation, Repair, and Painting (Lead RRP). Work activities including demolition, deconstruction, sanding, or cutting can generate hazardous lead dust and chips by disturbing lead-based paint, which is proven harmful to both adults and children. By successfully completing this course, participants will become an EPA-Approved Certified Lead Renovator trained to follow lead-safe work practices and able to legally work on these projects.
This class is ideal for anyone who will work on a renovation, repair or painting project on buildings built before 1978. The classroom component of this course is offered both online and in person.
CleanEdison’s 8-hour Lead Restoration, Repair and Paint Renovator Training instructs trainees on how to prevent lead contamination by adhering to three fundamental principles laid out by the Environmental Protection Agency: contain the work area, minimize dust, clean up thoroughly. The course includes 5 hours of classroom study on the causes, effects and treatment solutions for lead contamination as well as 3 hours of field training to solidify this knowledge.
Our Lead RRP Training fulfills the EPA requirements, allowing contractors to receive Lead Renovator Certification upon completion of the course.
