New local energy partnership brings innovative solar tracker to Grand Isle and Franklin Counties

AllEarth Renewables continues national expansion with partner close to home

December 14, 2012

A newly announced partnership will bring the innovative AllSun Tracker solar electric system to homeowners and businesses throughout northwestern Vermont.

The dealer partnership between local installer Nuñez Electric, LLC and solar tracker manufacturer AllEarth Renewables was announced today.

While AllEarth Renewables expanded its national solar partners network throughout the eastern United States this year,  this one is close to home for the Vermont-based manufacturer.

The first 10 KW AllSun Tracker solar project installed by Nuñez Electric was commissioned in October in Alburgh and included the installation of two Series 20 trackers for Lance and Lisa Newman.

A second 18.36 KW system was installed and commissioned recently in Georgia, VT, consisting of three series 24 trackers at the business of RPM Engines for Rick and Michelle Paya.

Nuñez Electric, LLC is a full service electrical contracting company that has served residential, commercial, and industrial customers in northwestern Vermont for more than a decade.  In addition, Nuñez Electric now handles all phases of servicing for solar electric systems including site evaluation, permitting, state incentive and utility application paperwork, and installation.

Designed and manufactured in Williston, VT, AllSun Trackers use innovative GPS and wireless technology to follow the sun throughout the day to boost solar energy production by up to 45 percent over roof-top installations.  The ground-mounted solar systems are designed for homes, businesses, non-profits, and commercial-scale installations.  There are over 1,400 in Vermont alone.

A single 4.2 kW solar tracker will produce enough to power the majority of an average Franklin County home.

“We are committed to meeting our growing customers’ needs and the Vermont-made AllSun Tracker is an excellent addition to our installation options. More and more people in our area are excited about creating their own source of energy and with the AllSun Tracker they can optimize their production and get a better return on investment,” said Julian Nuñez, owner and master electrician of Nuñez Electric, LLC.

“We’re very excited to be partnering with the Julian and Eileen Nuñez at Nuñez Electric and to be able to provide our product to Franklin and Grand Isle counties.  Designed to produce more energy from the sun, our trackers make solar practical and affordable for homeowners and businesses,” said David Blittersdorf, president and CEO of AllEarth Renewables.

The AllSun Tracker was selected as a top-10 green product for 2012 by BuildingGreen Magazine.

AllEarth Renewables, a 2012 Inc 500 company for the nation’s fastest growing businesses, has designed, manufactured, and installed over 1,500 complete grid-connected solar tracker systems.  Their CEO was listed among 25 of “America's Most Promising Social Entrepreneurs of 2011” by Business Week.
