A new local partnership will bring the innovative AllSun Tracker solar electric system to homeowners and businesses throughout Massachusetts.
The dealer partnership between regional installer Transformations, Inc. and Vermont solar tracker manufacturer AllEarth Renewables was announced today.
The first two AllSun Trackers installed by Transformations were commissioned in July in Princeton, MA.
With offices in Townsend, Lexington, Somerville, Cambridge, Acton, Mill River, and Nantucket, Transformations installs solar electric systems, builds custom zero energy homes, and develops/builds award winning zero energy communities. The robust renewable energy channel provides full service solar engineering, design, installation and equipment services for homes, businesses, municipalities, and nonprofits.
Designed and manufactured in Williston, VT, AllSun Trackers use innovative GPS and wireless technology to follow the sun throughout the day to boost solar energy production by up to 45 percent over roof-top installations. The ground-mounted solar systems are designed for homes, businesses, non-profits, and commercial-scale installations.
A single 5 kW solar tracker will produce enough energy to power the majority of an average New England home.
“We are committed to meeting our growing customers’ needs and the AllSun Tracker is an excellent addition to our installation options. More and more people are excited about creating their own source of energy and with the AllSun Tracker they can optimize their production and get a better return on investment,” said Benjamin Cumbie, Director of PV Operations of Transformations.
“We are excited to be partnering with the excellent team at Transformations and to be able to provide our product to Massachusetts customers. Designed to produce more energy from the sun, our trackers make solar practical and affordable for homeowners and businesses,” said David Blittersdorf, president and CEO of AllEarth Renewable.
The AllSun Tracker was selected as a top-10 green product for 2012 by BuildingGreen magazine.
AllEarth Renewables, was recently listed as an Inc. 500 business and was Vermont’s fastest growing company in 2010 and 2011. The company has designed, manufactured, and installed over 1,300 complete grid-connected solar tracker systems. Blittersdorf, AllEarth Renewables CEO, was recently listed among 25 of “America's Most Promising Social Entrepreneurs of 2011” by Business Week.
