Renewable Energy Infographic Fans the Flames of Religion vs. Science
Los Angeles: As important as "renewable energy" is for the long term survival of our planet, it's not a subject that typically incites religious controversy. And yet shortly after the completion of the energy infographic "All Forms of Energy on Earth Came from the Big Bang," advocates and proponents behind religion and science weighed in with their views.
"From the standpoint of religion, obviously we are free to believe whatever we want. But from the perspective of science, there are four different major paths that the energy that is available to us here and now on Earth took to reach us through time and space." - Craig Shields

Craig Shields, editor of 2GreenEnergy.com and the idea man behind the graphic, notes, "From the standpoint of religion, obviously we are free to believe whatever we want. But from the perspective of science, there are four different major paths that the energy that is available to us here and now on Earth took to reach us through time and space." Shields continues, “In most cases, when we use the term ‘clean energy,’ we really mean solar – either directly, as in photovoltaics or concentrated solar power, or indirectly, in the form of wind, biomass, or hydrokinetics; you’re really just getting the energy from the sun in a different form. But what about tidal? Geothermal? The formation of the Earth and the moon about 4.5 billion years ago gave us forms of clean energy that really have nothing to do with the sun. It’s interesting stuff.” The purpose of the message was articulated by Shields: “The better people understand these concepts, the more likely they are to see how important it is to replace our dependence on fossil fuels and nuclear – and the more likely they are to pick up their phone and explain this to their elected representatives. As corrupt as our government has become, these people still have to do basically what we tell them to. So let’s just make sure we’re giving them good instructions.” The idea to aid the educational process was brought to fruition shortly after the release of the graphic when several schools requested permission to use it in their classrooms. Says Shields, “I told them, ‘Absolutely, unequivocally, and irrevocably! Seriously, that’s what it’s there for.” Click the following link to view the infographic:
