The system will save Medford Township approximately $7.4 million over the next 15 years and construction is expected to commence after state and local approvals have been obtained. SolarWorks NJ has an additional 5 MW of financed solar energy projects for 2010. The award was announced by the Medford City Council on March 23, 2010. Nine vendors submitted proposals to the Township.
“I am very pleased with the selection committees choice. Everyone at SolarWorks NJ and our partner companies worked very hard to make this a reality. I believe that our ability to offer a dual energy conservation system was an important component that complemented the savings offered through the PPA," said Steve Masapollo, CEO of SolarWorks NJ.
