"The orders we have received at NextGen are very consistent with our growth plan for our small wind and solar subsidiary," stated Dan Juhl, CEO of Juhl Wind. "When we acquired NextGen, we knew that there was significant growth available in smaller, on-site wind systems throughout the U.S."
Juhl indicated that he sees the growth in this market being stimulated by a number of federal and state incentives available to end-users. "We also believe our NextGen unit is benefiting from the combination of our proven track record with on-site wind coupled with the initial stages of the growth plan that we have put in place for this area of our business," he said.
John Mitola, President of Juhl Wind said that the company has plans to recruit new dealers and distributors as well as plans to expand manufacturing capabilities in the future.
Minolta said that, "while we are nearly doubling all of NextGen's business for 2008 through the middle of the year 2009, we believe it is just the tip of the iceberg."
