Isofoton Starts Up 2-MW PV System in Badajoz | Renewable Energy News Article

Madrid, Spain [RenewableEnergyWorld.com] Isofoton and Parrasolex have started production from a solar photovoltaic (PV) power generation plant in Badajoz, Spain. Initial operations confirm that real production figures for the PV plant are 7.62% higher than initially predicted, the companies said.

Parrasolex, the plant's owner, said that Isofoton designed and set up the plant, "in an extraordinarily professional manner, installing maximum quality modules that surpass expected performance”.

The facility has a peak power of 2 megawatts and includes eighteen 100-kilowatt solar PV installations with a total of 12,636 IS-160/24 monocrystalline silicon modules manufactured at the Isofoton Research and Production Centre in Malaga. It covers a total surface area of 40,000m². The plant could generate up to 2,733 megawatt-hours of electricity per year.
